Moana 2 Sails Into AMC24 at Disney Springs. Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, D23 and Disney Vacation Club will take over AMC24 and House of Blues in Disney Springs for the premier Walt Disney Animations sequel to the 2016 smash hit film Moana, Moana 2. In preparation for this event and for promotions of the upcoming movie AMC24 has transformed the outside of the theater with a step and repeat, posters, and banners of all sizes.
We have talked about Moana 2 for months now leading up to its release, which is officially November 27, 2024, and tickets have been on sale for a little while. The popcorn buckets and novelties have also been on sale for a few days. Furthermore, if you head to Disney Springs, check out the Moana 2 tree that is up during the Christmas Tree Stroll.
Maui and Moana, along with Pua the pig and Hei Hei (chicken chicken) are all featured on the artwork hanging from the AMC24 building. At the main entrance, which is across from Jaleo and Splitsville, there is a great photo op that has both a step and repeats along with floor artwork to stand on. The actual entrance to the theater has posters of the characters and a red carpet, which is a blue ocean carpet. The characters on the posters are Moana, Maui, Pua, and Hei Hei (Again, kinda redundant name Chicken Chicken!)
“Moana 2” reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced. Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, “Moana 2” features music by Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.
On the other side of the AMC24, close to the Orange garage, there is a great backdrop with a poster on the side for families to get a photo with Moana and Maui.
Moana 2 just had its world premiere in Hawaii where Dwayne Johnson and his family, along with co-star Auliʻi Cravalho were in attendance.
