The Cake Bake Shop Bakery Menu Prices Fluctuate After Online Backlash. On October 5th, 2024, the long-awaited The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers removed the construction walls, and waiting behind those walls was a beautiful facade. Also behind those walls was the menu for the new Bakery and Restaurant. While we just reported on the prices of the delightful-looking cakes, we heard some strong opinions about the prices of a slice of cake.

It wasn’t just the prices of the cake slices that bothered people, the whole menu seemed to be higher priced than some people thought or wanted it to be. It wasn’t just Disney fans who decided that this establishment went too far with the prices, major media outlets reported on how “out of touch with the consumers” the prices reflect. Our article, that just showed the prices, had a higher view count than any other article we had published for the month.

This kinda shows that people in general are ready to pounce on Disney anytime a price gets raised, sometimes with good reason, other times not so much. I mean Disney also released a Lightning Lane Premier Pass that could cost some guests upwards of $400.00 for a day at the Magic Kingdom skipping the regular lines. This time though the Disney fans’ outrage was directed at the wrong company. Disney does not own The Cake Bake Shop, it is a private company renting space from Disney World on the Boardwalk.

One of the reasons for the price outrage is that people do not understand what type of establishment The Cake Bake Shop is. Is it for high-end customers? Is it for the Instagram / Tik Tokker Audience who all they do is use filters and show an unrealistic version of reality, selling beauty products to unsuspecting girls who unfortunately think that is what real beauty is? That is my guess. Just look at the “influencers” they have invited out. I mean they do serve a side of glitter with every item. In seriousness, we would love to see a real review or when it opens be able to give a real opinion and say if the prices reflect the experience.

Today, the menu of The Cake Bake Shop Bakery had some price changes. We would like to point out that this is a common occurrence when a new eatery is in previews. Prices will go up or down depending on a lot of different factors. Hence is the case here, we do not know why the changes were made, but there are a few items whose prices have gone down, while others have gone up, some upticks to the prices are for .99 cents, and nothing was changed drastically to make people stop being outraged by the prices.
