Disney Imagineering has said that the Dinoland USA land will be closed in phases. This is going to be phase one. We have already seen Disney file permits for a section of land behind the scenes to be used for trailer and construction storage, and Wally the American Crocodile was recently removed from in front of Restaurantasaurus.
DINOSAUR, The Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites are going to remain open with no timeline given for their eventual closures or refurbishments.
TriceraTop Spin – Fly high on a dinosaur around a twirling tin-toy top at this delightful carnival-inspired attraction.
A Dino Ride in the Sky
Climb into a 4-person triceratops gondola and prepare for liftoff! Bob up and down, forward and back, as you sail through the air to festive music. Don’t be surprised if something prehistoric appears from the giant crown in the center of the top.
Designed for little ones and the young-at-heart, TriceraTop Spin is a blast from the prehistoric past.
How High Will You Fly?
If you’re seated in the back row, you can direct how high or low you fly by moving an onboard lever up or down. If you’re sitting in the front row, maneuvering a joystick will tip your dinosaur forward or backward.

Fossil Fun Games – Play wacky carnival-style, dinosaur-themed games and have a mammoth good time!
Prehistoric Fun for Everyone
Test your skills and compete to win prizes at these dino-ized versions of classic boardwalk games. Whack mischievous dinosaurs, squirt targets, toss “comets,” roll balls down holes and shoot hoops so well you could make a T-Rex wish it had longer arms.
In keeping with the carnival theme, the Fossil Fun Games area also includes a curved carnival mirror, painted photo backdrop, concession stand and a picture booth.
Know Before You Go
Fossil Fun Games requires vouchers to play. Vouchers can be purchased for an additional fee at the souvenir stand located in the games area or at Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures.
Special thank you to Sam’s Disney Diary for sharing some images. You would figure by now I would have these images ready for an announcement like this, but I didn’t. So he came to the rescue!
