Disney World to Sell $18.00 Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich: The New Menu for The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant has been Revealed. According to the website, Disney World’s newest restaurant is ‘Coming Soon’, but by the looks of things, it could open any day now. The construction walls surrounding the new eatery on Disney’s Boardwalk have been removed, and the new menus have been placed outside the entrances.
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will be divided into the Restaurant and the Bakery, and we have already written about the new Bakery menu. We wrote the complete Bakery menu and about the walls coming down already. The bakery features, what looks like an exciting menu of cakes and pastries. But with a cake slice starting at $22.00 and going to $26.00, these better be the best slices of cake ever!
The news of the Bakery menu prices has not been well received, with one comment asking “Do theme park tickets come with the slice?” but to be fair to the newest eatery, we have not set foot inside, and we do not know what the experience will be like, or how good the food is. Sticker Shock is a real thing. But then we looked closer at the Restaurant menu, which you can read below, and we are now also in Sticker Shock.
Just looking at the Kid’s Menu. $18.00 for Buttered Noodles? $18.00 for PB&J? Does it come with a real Unicorn and a personal Mickey Mouse greeting? I am all for keeping an open mind, and I, again, have not been inside. So we have to be fair, if this turns out to be more of an “Experience” and not a regular restaurant, then those prices will be justified.
