Disney Cruise Line ‘Disney Treasure’ Will Dock in NYC for Christening in November 2024. We recently reported on Disney’s newest ship’s sea trials. Once it is done with the sea trials, the ship will make the transatlantic voyage, and instead of heading straight to Port Canaveral, Florida, the home port, it will first head to the bright lights and big city of the Big Apple, New York City.
The Disney Treasure will embark and debark from Cruise Terminal #8 at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on November 19 – 20, 2024. The official ship christening will take place during those days.

Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line has just updated the time for the Treasure christening: 8:00 PM EST
This could have been foreseen since NYC is home to major media outlets, and Disney wants to spread the word about the new Disney Treasure. I would look for Good Morning America to broadcast directly from the ship during those November dates and for other major news outlets to cover the event.
The Disney Treasure is Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, and its maiden voyage is scheduled for December 21, 2024. The ship will sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, and will include stops in the British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.
