Everyone has a favorite song to listen to when riding Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind but only 1 song has an actual date in it that Disney Imagineering could possibly do something special on that date every year.
Fans have asked since 2022, when Cosmic Rewind opened, that the song “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire be played all day long when riding the roller coaster, specifically on September 21st of each year. The opening lyrics say: Do you remember The 21st night of September? Love was changin’ the minds of pretenders While chasin’ the clouds away.
Walt Disney World and Disney Parks this morning hinted that the song will be the only song heard on September 21st, 2024 in a social media post earlier today. “There’s only one Cosmic Rewind song that we’d put on repeat September 21. ”
Now, if only it weren’t on Virtual Queue still! This would be an amazing day to see how many times you can ride and listen to the song played.
