Surprise! Talking Dug Character from Pixar’s Up Comes to Walt Disney World. It is the official 15th Anniversary of Pixar’s Up. Coincidentally, we got to see some of the movie’s characters walking around Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we were surprised when we met our favorite Disney Dog, and he spoke to us!
That’s right, he spoke to us, and for a second we didn’t know what to do. There had been no announcement by Walt Disney Live Entertainment, or Disney World. They snuck Dug in the backdoor (I imagine under a blanket in a laundry basket, cause that’s how you sneak dogs into the house). So when we went over to see Kevin, Russel, and Dug we were pleasantly surprised when we did not see Dug meeting and greeting with Russel.
We saw Kevin walk backstage, probably to get some water. We went to turn around and walk away but out walked Dug. We decided to go for a selfie with the puppy since he is 11/10 good floor, and sometimes only a dog can make life feel better. Went in to say hello, and Dug literally said, “Can I teach you a trick, here is my trick, Shake!” and he put out his paw to shake hands!
Dug, then looked deep into our souls and said the words we had been hoping to hear! Those tender words of love and joy. His iconic catchphrase endeared Dug to a generation of fans how he had just met us and loved us. Nope, we got “Squirrel!” and Dug was onto the next family of kids.
