Space 220 Celebrates 3 Years! Updated Menu, Reissued Trading Cards, Out Of This World Desserts. Three years ago I stood in front of Mission Space in Epcot with a NASA Astronaut to my left, and Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley to my right, in front of me was Mickey and Minnie Mouse along with Patina Restaurant Group officials, and the Vice President of Epcot Kartika Rodriguez. Rockets and fireworks blasted off and confetti & ribbons fell from the sky, and I knew what I was going to do for the rest of my life, which was bring the latest Disney News to the world.

The opening of Space 220 was quite a celebration. Epcot was undergoing a huge transformation, the new area where Space 220 is located was renamed to World Discovery, Wallcot was a thing, and Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind construction was just getting started. In 3 years since opening the world around Space 220 has undergone a massive change, for the better, Epcot transformed, and the world changed.

Space 220 itself stayed the same as that wonderful day, September 20th, 2021. The restaurant, located 220 miles above the World of Disney remained clean looking, with beautiful windows overlooking the horizon of the earth. The stellavator remained in perfect working condition. To this day, the interior has that fresh smell of a grand opening.

What has changed? The main change was adding a Lounge Menu for those who wanted to have the full Space 220 experience, but not have the full prix-fix meal. Of course, the menu has adapted and changed, which brings us to today, three years later. Looking out the windows, watching the dog float through space, eating our way through the new menu items due to be released on October 14th, 2024. Enjoying our relaxed meal with friends and coworkers. Busting open packs of reissued trading cards (which are available now).

Speaking of the newly reissued trading cards: Great news, collectors. Space 220 is launching the Reissue Series of its popular line of trading cards on Friday, September 20. From comets to Columbia, Space 220 brings the stories of our galaxy to life. Each Reissue pack includes five collectible cards, with never-before-offered packaging. Plus, two, brand-new cards have been released that complete the Uranus and Neptune Series. But you won’t find the coolest cards in the galaxy with a telescope. They’re only available at Space 220 in EPCOT.

Furthermore, insiders tip about special collectible cards. If you get a chance to talk to the chef, ask if they have any of the Chef Only cards. They can only be given to a guest by a chef directly.

We have recently done a review and a YouTube video from a few months ago, and even then Space 220 came in as one of our favorites here at Walt Disney World.

We would like to thank Patina Restaurant Group for sharing the afternoon with us, along with Allied Global for inviting us out.
