Test Track Blue Canopy and Supports Coming Down Ahead of Reimagined V.3. Test Track is down for a complete retheme and will be reopening sometime in 2025. Prior to adding anything new, the old must be removed. Which is what we are seeing in the outside portion of the attraction. Unfortunately for all of us, we will not be able to see how far along the interior is so all of us will be guessing about how far along the retheme is.
The blue canopy that has stood outside Test Track, protecting us from the weather, and adding to the Epcot skyline is no more. The canopy was removed recently, and now the supporting beams are being dismantled. A rather large crane is in the courtyard entrance to Test Track and is removing the structure at night.
Next to go is probably the blue logo of Test Track 2.0 with the plastic swooshy top. Are you looking forward to the new retheme to version 3 of Test Track?
Buckle up for a brand-new experience when a reimagined Test Track presented by Chevrolet races into EPCOT in 2025.

Announced during Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Walt Disney Imagineering is collaborating with Chevrolet to push innovation forward and celebrate humanity’s enduring drive (pun intended) on the thrilling road to a brighter tomorrow. But, before we get too far down this winding road, Test Track will celebrate today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future. The queue will feature six distinct exhibits, and within each room celebrate the vehicles – and people behind the vehicles – that push the envelope and help get people to the next chapter in our motion journey.
New show scenes will be added showcasing technological advances and how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone. Enjoy a joy ride through scenes focusing on onboard technology, customization, and personalization. Followed by a trip through a scenic outdoor route reminding us all of the joys of driving, taking in the world around us, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Construction on this reimagined experience has already begun, and eagle-eyed visitors might already have picked up on the fact that the new exterior harkens back to the original pavilion design.
“At Disney Experiences, Imagineers dream, create, design and build these stories into real places. And we have Imagineers in place right now all around the world because everything we’re going to share with you is in active development. Plans are drawn. Dirt is moving. I just want to be clear about this: We are doing everything you’re going to hear tonight.”
