Brand New Magic Kingdom Experience Just Opened Today – Smellephants on Parade. Smellephants on Parade presented by Scentsy has officially opened at Storybook Circus in Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
We just got back from smelling our way through Storybook Circus and had a great time. For those wondering if you can smell the elephants, the answer is yes. The simple explanation is that every few moments you can hear a mechanical noise and a puff, and the scent is released into the air. Depending on the way the wind is blowing you can then smell whichever elephant you are standing by.
For example, the wind was blowing towards Fantasyland today, so being downwind of the Caramel Apple Smellephant, we could smell it while picking up our new guide map. Speaking of the guide map, pick yours up in front of the Storybook Treats circus tent at the Ticket Booth. Inside is a map, and 8 stickers. Along with a message from Timothy Q. Mouse.

Once the map is in hand, spread out and search Storybook Circus for the giant Smellephants. 8 in Total. They are rather easy to find, and pretty easy to figure out what flavor or scent they are. We were wrong on 2 of them. We thought one was Hot Dog, it turned out to be Corn Dog. The other mistake we made was Lemonade is Pink Lemonade.
Furthermore, they finally added the last Smellephant that was missing over the past few days. Bubblegum!
Smellephants on Parade at Storybook Circus
When you enter Storybook Circus, see a Casting Call posted by Timothy Q. Mouse. He’s seeking a “Whiff-sistant” to join Dumbo’s newest act!
Once you decide to join, visit the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs. There, a Cast Member will provide you with an illustrated map of the land and a sticker sheet to guide you in your new role as a Whiff-sistant.
Then it’s up to you! Find all 8 Smellephant statues scattered around Storybook Circus, using the stickers and map to track your progress.
Use your nose as your guide and enjoy the fragrances these colorful pachyderms are sporting—including popcorn, churro, cotton candy and more!
When you have completed your quest, you are awarded the sticker “Top Notch Whiff-Sistant”.
It is all very cute and will the elephants look great. It is a wonderful addition to Storybook Circus and Fantasyland. Overall we enjoyed our time doing this, and hope Disney keeps these types of experiences coming.
