Country Bear Jamboree Grizzly Hall Marquee Covered Up Plus Voice Actors May be Known for Updated Attraction. Frontierland is going through an almost complete overhaul right now. The retheme of 2 major attractions is making the land feel a little quieter with not much to do. If it weren’t for Big Thunder Mountain, Frontierland would be a literal and proverbial ghost town. Plus, there is speculation that a 3rd attraction may soon be going away forever, Frontierland Shooting Gallery may be turning into a DVC relaxation area.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Country Bear Jamboree are both down. Work continues on both, and the expected opening timeline that Disney has revealed is the summer of 2024 for both rethemes.

This past week we saw the official marquee being covered over. Country Bear Jamboree will be a thing of the past. Singing & Stompin, Clappin & Growling “Country Bear Jamboree” A wild & wooly good time! The sign is going to be redone, possibly removed completely, and replaced with the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree marquee.

In the meantime, recently Brett Iwan the voice of Mickey Mouse, and Kaitlyn Robrock the voice of Minnie Mouse were at a convention called ‘House of Mouse Expo‘ where they did a panel together. They were joined by Bill Farmer the voice of Goofy, and Jim Cummings the voice of Winnie-the-Pooh, and many many others. While on stage Kaitlyn kind of broke with the tradition of not talking about future projects. She and Brett told a story about the audition process for the new voices of Country Bear Jamboree.

Brett seemed to shy away from the topic and did not say if he did or did not get a call back to be one of the voices, but intoned he may have. Kaitlyn on the other hand went on to mention she may be the new voice of Trixie.

If you’ve been too busy trottin’ through the Wild West and have missed the news, the Country Bears are getting ready to put on a new show that pays homage to the Opry-style shows of Nashville. While the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs from the beginning to the end including a familiar tune fans may remember, the bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music – like bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and other styles. Here’s a look at one of the clips we shared at Destination D23.
