Our picks for family adventures
Cool summer stays: One of my favorite things to do on vacation is take complimentary Disney transportation back to my resort for a midday pool break before heading back to the parks for the evening.
- Little ones will love cooling down at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at Uwanja Camp, a water play area at Kidani Village with three distinct areas.
- Wannabe pirates of all ages can make a splash in a Spanish colonial fortress, complete with two waterslides and a shipwreck at the Fuentes del Morro pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Ahoy, vacationers!
Park ticket pick: One of our favorite ticket offers is back and it’s a great ticket option for families to see all four parks. Starting at $99 per day plus tax (total price starting at $396 plus tax) for adults, and with a new lower price just for kids ages 3-9 starting at $79 per day plus tax (total price starting at $316 plus tax), the 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket is the perfect option to enjoy it all at a pace that makes sense for the whole family. With this ticket, spend one day at each theme park (one admission per park and one park per day). This ticket is date-based, so you can choose the dates that work for your family and head to the park without making reservations. To learn more, visit DisneyWorld.com/4ParkMagic.
Itinerary tips: Choosing a few attractions and experiences that everyone in the family wants to see is a great way to guide your itinerary for each day. I recommend heading to some of these must-do kid-friendly attractions first: Toy Story Mania! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Peter Pan’s Flight at Magic Kingdom Park, Frozen Ever After at EPCOT and Na’vi River Journey at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Top trip tips for friends or couples
Resorts with more to explore: Resort days are an essential part of my vacation plans at Walt Disney World and there’s an endless amount of content to explore for your story.
- If food and live music are your thing, choose Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. Not only does it have a riverboat to and from all the happenings at Disney Springs, but you can also catch live music and fresh beignets at Scat Cat’s Club.
- Disney’s All-Star Resorts are some of the best value options to stay close to the parks while also having some of the coolest areas to explore. Find a mini pickleball court near the Piano Pool at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, or capture amazing photos with the nostalgia of larger-than-life Mighty Ducks props at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.
Park ticket pick: If you’re looking for the best option for an adult trip, or maybe your teens are looking for a rush, the 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket is a brand-new way to experience Disney Thrills with one-day admission to Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios (one admission per park, one park per day) at a great price for all guests (starting at $89 per day plus tax, total price starting at $267 plus tax). This ticket is not valid for admission to Magic Kingdom. To learn more, visit DisneyWorld.com/specialoffers.
Itinerary tips: As much as I love getting a head start on the day, there’s nothing like seeing the magic of Walt Disney World at night. I’d recommend making a point to see the other-worldly Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when the sun goes down, take some amazing photos wandering the streets of Batuu, and channel your inner Chewie piloting a night flight on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
Delicious deal for Disney Visa Cardmembers

Itinerary tips: Don’t miss some of the uniquely Disney live experiences beyond parades and fireworks. At Hollywood Studios, head to the far side of Echo Lake beyond Gertie the dinosaur to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! In this show, get an inside look at explosive special effects and hear firsthand how the incredible stunt performers safely throw punches, fall from buildings and tumble through a film set.
